The Feckin Search Engine of the World
Internet search engine Google has established itself as the worlds choice – the engine is so popular it’s even earned it’s own entry in the Oxford Dictionary.
Not to be outdone by these multinational upstarts a group of enterprising Irish students have created their own search engine with a distinctly local flavour.
It’s called Doogle and according to the designers is a tribute to Father Ted and all things Irish. Whereas google lets you search for websites images or newsgroups, Doogle options include drink, girls, arse and eurovision.
Google will search well over a billion websites whereas Doogle will only search a paltry twelve. If you want to search the world wide web stick with google but, if you want to search Craggy Island then it’s got to be Doogle
