When they come to write the history of the 21st Century the Simpsons will be inscribed as one of the cultural highlights.
Not only is the show highly entertaining it’s also highly informative. So much so, that a Mathematics professor called Andrew Nestler has created a whole curriculum based around quotes from the show.
Using the site, schoolkids can refer to Homer Simpson’s outbursts for help with their Pythagorean theorem or look up 1995 Simpsons episode 3F04 for a rough overview of Fermat’s Last Theorem..
Critics might say it’s education dumbing down but who cares if Homer helps with the homework provided Bart doesn’t interfere with the discipline.
