Flights Of Fancy gets 3 noms from New York Festivals

News this week that Zoe Comyn's Flights of Fancy radio drama has been shortlisted in 3 categories in the prestigious New York Festival Radio Awards.  The drama has been shortlisted in the Best Drama, Best Writer and Best Sound categories.  We're particularly pleased given that Tinpot looked after sound record and mix.  The last time we worked with Zoe she picked up the gong for Best Drama at the PPI Awards, so we've got all digits crossed for June 12th in NYC.  For anyone who missed it, here's a short trailer we cut today

In The Booth: Laura Sheeran

“Dark”, “filmic”, “magical” – all words commonly used in reference to Laura Sheeran, who recently brought her unique blend of atmospheric electronica to the Tinpot Booth. This exclusive live performance of Laura’s track “Girlfriend” – with a little of Bjork’s “Cover Me” thrown in for good measure – came to us as part of Leading Ladies, a Tinpot/Julien Clancy co-production which will be airing soon on Phantom 105.2′s Icon.

Beeb Radio 1 Imaging Demo

This Christmas, whilst you might have been munching on an oversized turkey, we were hard at work preparing an imaging demo for BBC Radio 1.  The station was seeking submissions for a daytime package starting later this year.  Even though our submission was well recieved, we didn't get the gig.  Probably not all that surprising, given that the best imaging companies in the world, nay galaxy, would all have thrown their musical hat in.

Anyhoo, we didn't bring home the silver but we still think it's a sterling effort, which is why it's uploaded here.  Oh, and by the way, all the music cuts were produced inhouse too.  Hope you enjoy and if you have some bespoke radio imaging requirments, you can holler at us here
